LG G5. THE REALITY.

LG, in the smartphone business, was always an underappreciated company, even when it had best in class camera, a leather design even James Bond would fall in love with, curved display and what not!

When the rest of the world is catching up with catering to the needs and necessities of the public, LG goes out of its way to make a modular-ish phone, which comes with removable or rather replaceable parts. The bottom part of the phone pops off delicately at the push of a button, out of which comes the 2800 mAh battery, attached to the lower part of the phone and said part can be replaced with other parts like a camera module that has a shutter button, a ring to manually zoom in and out, a video recording button and a camera wake up button as well. The upside to this module us that it houses a 1200 mAh battery that adds to the already reasonably good one. yay for more battery
This is just one, among many modules out there and private companies can jump on the bandwagon and go nuts building modules like the already existing premium +BANG&OLUFSEN speaker amplifiers.  A lot of moving parts made out of plastic makes me wonder how durable they could be in terms of wear and tear and the last thing I want is to break the bank to fix a small piece of broken plastic on the module or worse the phone.

+LG G5 also boasts of 2 rear cameras at the back, a 16MP camera for conventional photography and an 8MP camera for super wide-angle shots (135 degree wide-angle to be precise and that's wider than the human eye's field of view) It also has a new perk with the always ON display atop the conventional display, with restricted real estate that is good enough to peak at the time and notifications and it only uses a fraction of battery (0.8% an hour) and a fingerprint sensor that doubles as a power ON and OFF button

And you would think, all's well that ends well, NOPE! LG boldly decides to remove the app drawer, no not a typo, so the users are forced to have all their apps on their home screen along with widgets. LG is kinda lucky because +Android is all about customization so an impressed buy would ignore the blunder and just install a launcher and the forgive the company. (psst, I actually recently wondered if I really need an app drawer when most of my regularly used apps are on the home screen, they frickin heard me somehow)

Personally, LG just knocked it out of the ballpark with the G5, meanwhile, Samsung corrects its S6's mistakes with the S7, (more on that in the next blog) Kudos LG. LIFE'S GOOD, REALLY GOOD.
